Foreshore Investment Holdings was founded in 2020 by Phil Shaw, bringing 25+ years of front-office experience in global equity sales trading and execution to a focused set of activities in today’s market.

• ASX capital raising — independent consultant advising on placements, IPOs and secondary raisings across critical minerals, resources and growth technology. 24+ transactions raising A$90M+ since 2023.
• Tavira — consultant sales trader with Tavira Securities, providing institutional-grade execution and market access.
• Outsourced trading advisory — advising buy-side firms on transitioning dealing desks to outsourced trading models, working alongside leading OT providers.

Background

Prior to starting Foreshore Investment Holdings in 2020, I worked for Citigroup Global Markets in Hong Kong and London, where I ran a diverse 90-person team across Pan Asia that included Japan and Australia. My role was focused on collapsing execution channels, maximizing net revenue/margins, Blocks, IOIs, crossing and "Best Execution" post MiFID 2.

I have strong client relationships built over 25+ years via a player/manager style, many of which I still have to this day. I was an active participant at conferences including the Asian Trader Forum and the SFSTA. Whilst at Citi I took them to a consistent Top 5 McLagan for Pan Asia, and the team was rated number 1 by Greenwich in 2018 for Asian Equity Sales Trading & Execution Service Quality and Asian Equity Electronic Trading Product & Service Quality.

Since founding Foreshore in 2020, I have worked as an independent consultant in the ASX small-cap and emerging-resources market, advising on capital raisings, placements and IPOs across critical minerals, resources and growth technology.

• Consulted on 24+ ASX placements (Sep 2023–Apr 2026) raising A$90M+, alongside IPO mandates including PC Gold (Spring Hill Gold Project, NT) and Ktek Aerosystems (defence UAV technology)
• Broad sector coverage: gold, copper, lithium, rare earths, niobium and uranium, alongside AgTech, low-carbon materials, healthcare and defence technology
• Deal flow spanning Australia (WA, NT, QLD) and international projects across the Americas, Africa and Asia-Pacific

I also work as a consultant sales trader with Tavira, an independent broker platform that pairs institutional-grade execution, governance and market connectivity with the autonomy of a boutique. The role draws directly on my 25+ years in global equity sales trading and execution across Asia, Europe and Australia.

Outsourced Trading Advisory

I have also advised buy-side firms — both hedge funds and long-only managers — on transitioning their dealing desks to outsourced trading models, working alongside leading providers including Meraki Global Advisors, Outset Global and Tourmaline Partners.

Wall Street Oasis — Mentor

I also serve as a mentor on Wall Street Oasis, working with university students and early-career professionals looking to break into finance and equity markets. Drawing on 25+ years of front-office experience, I provide practical guidance on careers in sales trading, execution and the broader capital markets industry.
